Dear Half Day Hospitality Supporter:
Our next Half Day Hospitality event is noon-4 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13.
We welcome your presence and thank you for caring about our neighborhood children!
At our September session, we implemented a new procedure which proved to be beneficial. All backpacks will be placed inside the church in the last few pews. This helped clear space in the entryway, and we instructed children to leave cellphones in their backpacks. We initially used a numbering system, but this resulted in confusion, etc.
Name tags on children and name tags on backpacks — looking for a backpack with a name will be much easier!
If you have a gift, talent, craft, game, project, or idea you want to share — please feel totally free to do it! The “HOW TO” table that Bill Stroup ran was a hit — totally creative and drew the interest of many children.
Gloria Polzin has been the official “sewing lady” at Half Day Hospitality, but she is already off to Florida. If any one wants to do sewing, embroidery, etc. please feel free to do that!
Any food items are always welcome! Whatever donations come in, we are happy to serve the children.
Thank you Good Shepherd community for your kindness and generosity to the littlest ones among us!
Peace to you always,
Lisa M. Briggs
